These international summer schools are intended for students of liberal arts and humanities who are willing to spend an intensive short period on a Roman and medieval town from an archaeological perspective.
The first one is a 3 weeks programme on the site to excavate an early medieval building in front of the Etruscan and Roman gate of teh town. The students will learn how to make drawings, how to dig, and how to sample and record the finds.
The second one is a 2 weeks programme in laboratory, though some time will be on the site too. The students will learn how to transform a hard copy of the archaeological record into a digital mapping through GIS applications.
